Maurice was raised in Columbia, MS and lived in Shreveport most of his adult life. He served 26 years as a pilot during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After retirement he operated his own business, Regan’s Handi Fix for 23 years. During that time he completed his PH.D. in Counseling and then volunteered as counselor at Trinity Heights Baptist Church. He also served over 28 years as a teacher in the “Special” Sunday school class at Trinity Heights. For many years, he served as a Gideon at the East Bank Camp and as a Chaplain for two years. He gave hundreds of Holy Bibles and books by his favorite author Charles Spurgeon to friends, loved ones and Veterans at the VA Medical Center. He loved his fellowman and many that knew him saw him serve the Lord after his military retirement by giving of his talents, time and money. Friends would say, “I have never met anyone as kind, giving and caring as Maurice.” You knew he was a child of the King of Kings because indwelling in him was great love, great faith and great hope. Always a loving spirit to others because he knew God’s love so well.
