Mrs. Mary Edna Walton Wright

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mary Edna Walton Wright, 82, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 2012 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Mike Stowell. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Edna was born on February 19, 1929 in Keithville, LA and passed away on February 13, 2012 in Keithville, LA. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Family was always the most important thing in her life. Edna found great joy and pleasure in cooking for her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Keithville.

Preceding Mrs. Wright in death was her husband of 58 years, Melvin C. Wright; her parents; 2 brothers and one sister.

Left to cherish beautiful memories of Edna are her children Sandy Wright Gilleland of Keithville, LA, Buddy Wright and wife Pamela of Mandeville, LA and Mike Wright and wife Trish of Cowan, TN; siblings, Ed Walton, Jr. and wife Rita of Keithville, LA, Georgia Raney of Shreveport, LA and Barbara Tullis and husband Jerry of Blanchard, LA; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Honoring Mrs. Wright as pallbearers will be nephews, John Richardson, Dale Walton, Rusty Tullis, Randy Tullis, Robbie Tullis and Danny Raney. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Michael Shane Wright and Christopher Ryan Wright.
