Mary Jean Williams, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the age of 78. Mary was born October 29, 1942 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Saul Williams Sr. and Georgia Wilson Williams. A visitation for Mary will be held Friday, February 5, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and continuing Saturday at 10:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Rd, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. A graveside celebration of life will occur Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Edward O'Neal officiating the services.
Mary was a certified Interior Designer working as a CEO of Designs By Jean. She loved to designing and decorating. She was also a dedicated member of Oakdale Baptist Church, acting as Pastor's aid and deaconist.
Left to cherish her memory are husband of 45 years, Elisha Williams; 4 daughters, Angela Byrd (Chris), Cynthia Hayes (Bernard), Reather Barnes (Jesse) and Yolanda Williams; step-daughter, Sherry Anderson; two sons, Daryl Williams and Herman Williams; step-son, Willie Salon; 18 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Saul Williams Jr. II (Rosemary), Anthony Jackson and Eddie Lee Williams;1 sister, Linda Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, along with 1 play daughter, Jonetta Hall.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Cora L. Williams and Ida Johnson; brother, Johnny Williams; son, Dwayne M. Williams; and stepmother, Dorothy Jackson.
