Mary "Tootsie" Falcon Olmstead

Mary Falcon Olmstead of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022 at the age of 79. She was born June 3, 1943 in Zwolle, Louisiana to Isabel Garza and Floyd Ernest Falcon. She was affectionately known by family and friends as "Tootsie".

Mary worked for Regions Bank for 25 years before working as a Trust Manager at WESLA Federal Credit Union until her retirement. She was a lover of plants and animals. She enjoyed cleaning, bowling and yard work. Mary always described her sons as "her boys" and lived for them. She had two loves of her life, Paul and Bobby.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Bobby Wilkinson; sons, Glen Olmstead and wife, Jennifer, Jon Olmstead and wife, Katie and Ernie Matthews; stepsons, Rob Wilkinson and wife Tammie and Roger Wilkinson and wife Amy; daughter-in-law, Sonia Wilkinson; grandchildren, Stephanie Charvin, Danielle Wilkinson, Brianna Wilkinson, Emily Wilkinson and Matthew Wilkinson, along with countless four legged grandchildren; brothers, Pete Falcon and David Falcon; sisters, Imojean Lineweber, Peggy Cochran, Liz Durr and Ollie McClain; and brother-in-law, Tony Olmsted and wife, Debbie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Olmstead; parents, sisters, Doris Turk and Dora Lopez; brother, Johnny Falcon and sister-in-law, Sharon Olmsted.

A visitation for Mary will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers are Kevin Roy, Matt Durr, Tim Falcon, Ernie Falcon, Mike Falcon, and Andrew McAllister. Honorary pallbearer is Shawn McAllister.
