Mesquite, TX- Graveside services celebrating the life of Mary Ellen Johnson, 87, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
Mary was born on March 21, 1929 in Deberry, TX and passed away on May 16, 2016 in Mesquite, TX. After moving to Shreveport she met the love of her life Alvin Johnson, Jr. and they were married in 1946. Mrs. Johnson was a dedicated and devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin Johnson, Jr.; one son, Rodney Johnson and five siblings, Millard, George, Billie, Clotile and Hershall.
Left to cherish beautiful memories of Mary is her daughter, Deborah Menasco and husband Wayne; brother, Curtis Ray Boyett and granddaughter, Lori Saiz and husband Charley.
