Mary Helen Huckaby Hennigan, age 96, passed away on February 08, 2024 after a brief illness. Mary was born on January 16, 1928 in Natchitoches, LA. to Dewy Roe and Ora Ezernack Roe. She was a lifelong resident of the Shreveport area and retired from Western Electric after many years of working there. She enjoyed traveling early in her retirement as well as watching game-shows and old westerns on TV.
Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Stanley Huckaby, her second husband, William "Buddy" Hennigan and daughters, Pat Huckaby Free and Linda Huckaby Watson.
Mary is survived by grandchildren, Dena West (husband, Shane) and Tommy Williams (wife, Christy), great-grandchildren, Dakota (wife, Sarah), Colton, Grayson, Danielle (husband, Cord), Stanley (wife, Loren) and great great-grandchildren, Corbin, Hunter, Bobbiejo, Brantley and Brindley.
Graveside services celebrating Mary's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 M ansfield Rd, Shreveport, LA 71108, Dr. Shane West officiating.
