Mark Robert Reeves, 53, beloved husband, father, son, grandfather “granddaddy” passed away on February 2, 2024. Funeral services honoring Mark’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Woodbridge Baptist Church in the Worship Center with Pastor Steve Efferson officiating. Following the service will be a private family burial at Welcome Cemetery in Welcome, AR. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108.
Mark was born on September 25, 1970 in Shreveport, LA. He graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1989. Mark has been in the business of upholstery for 34 years. He is the founder and owner of Reeves Upholstery since 2000. His happiest days were spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. Mark was known for showing his love by acts of service for any and everyone. His favorite hobbies were hunting, golfing, fishing and singing along to his favorite music. Family and friends find comfort knowing Mark is now in the hands of Jesus.
Mark was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry and Mattie Reeves, and his maternal grandparents, Bob and Estelle Bagby. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Sharon Thompson and husband Phillip; his father, Mike Reeves and wife Janet; his wife of 30 years, Frances Reeves; his daughter, Amber Sledge and husband Robert; his son, Robert Reeves; his two grandchildren, Beckett and Ellie Sledge; his brother, Michael Reeves and wife, Dana; his sister, Jan Holmes and husband, Ken; along with numerous nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
Honoring Mark as pallbearers will be Robert Reeves, Michael Reeves, Ken Holmes, Robert Sledge, Bill Sellers, Jody Lynch, Ray Guillot.
The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Kavitha Beedupalli and Dr. Susana Guvvala at Ocshner LSU Health Cancer Treatment Center for the care that they provided. Also to Dr. Robert Holladay, his pulmonologist, and all of the nurses and staff at Oschners LSU Health.
