She is survived by her son, Michael Baudry of Alexandria, Louisiana and his wife, Henneth; her daughter, Pegi Baudry Candler of Shreveport, Louisiana; and her daughter, Michelle Jolee Posey and her husband, Gerald of Shreveport, Louisiana. Marjorie is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Walter Frank Baudry of Franklin, Louisiana, and her husband of three years, T.C. McCain of Shreveport, Louisiana.
Marjorie was born on April 29, 1927, in Alexandria , Louisiana to parents William Edward Rogers and Minnie Lou Couch Rogers. She married Walter Frank Baudry on April 15, 1945, in Jeanerette, Louisiana. The happy couple had four children together, including Richard John, who died in infancy.
She spent years devoting her life to her husband and family. Marjorie also worked for Caddo Parish Schools at Fairfield Elementary as a teacher’s aide for many years. Some of her fondest memories are when she worked with students daily. She also devoted many hours to her church, Pinecroft Baptist, as a Sunday school teacher and faithful church member. Marjorie will always be remembered for her sweet spirit and compassion for others. She loved endlessly and tirelessly.
A funeral is scheduled on Saturday, March 31, 2018, officiated by Bro. Butch Rogers, her nephew, at 2:00 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons, whom she cherished and adored. A celebration of Marjorie’s life and legacy will follow at the home of Gerald and Michelle Posey. All are welcome to attend and celebrate their precious memories of Marjorie.
