Marilyn was born the second child of eight children to Richard and Mary Lewis in Winnfield, Kansas.
Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She raised an amazing son and had a great career as a hospital administrator.
After retiring alongside her husband Mike Powell, they embarked on numerous adventures exploring the beauty of our country together.She had a deep appreciation for the ocean and cherished moments by her pool, reflecting her joyful spirit and generous nature.
She was an amazing cook and to eat in her home was like eating at a great restaurant. She loved to cook for her family.She deeply cherished time spent with family and leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be remembered by anyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother Mary E. Lewis.
She survived by her father Richard D. Lewis, her loving husband Mike Powell, her son Sammer Taha and wife Rachel, stepson Kenneth Mann and girlfriend Colleen Rambo, grandchildren Oliver and Miles Taha, Jessica Thompson, Tori McTire, Michael Mann, and seven great grandchildren.She also survived by her six sisters; Margie, Marcia, Marilee, Marie, Martha, Marlisa, and one brother Dan.
She will be missed by many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
