Larry served in the United States Navy for seven years. He worked for Brookshire Grocery Company for 34 years, winning Store Director of The Year several times. One of his many accomplishments was qualifying for the Senior Golf Olympic Games and winning one year in his age group.
Larry was a very organized person with attention to small details. He was known for his friendly and outgoing personality. Larry always recognized his customers by name and was able to remember many details about their life. Larry attended Summer Grove Baptist Church where he loved singing in the choir and in local nursing homes. In addition to his love for church music, Larry loved going on Mission Trips to Mexico. Larry loved the Lord with all of his heart and lived his life serving Him. He was an avid golfer, loved snow skiing and enjoyed caring for his lawn and flower gardens. Larry was a wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved his family dearly and provided for them well. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him best and loved him most.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Rowe, Sr. and Ida Rowe; brothers, Frank Rowe, Jr., Robert Rowe, Philip Rowe and sister, Melba Riggs.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Doris; daughters, Rhonda Heinsohn (Terry) and Pam Rowe; son, Eddie Rowe; brother, Richard Rowe; grandsons, Jarrod Heinsohn (Kristin), Taylor Heinsohn (Michelle) and Dalton Heinsohn; great grandson, Henry Heinsohn and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Larry will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 10:00 am with Bro. Murry Hodge officiating. Interment will be at Centuries Memorial Park. Honoring the family as pallbearers will be Terry Heinsohn, Jarrod Heinsohn, Taylor Heinsohn, Dalton Heinsohn, Eddie Rowe and Pat Cordaro.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Stephanie Leslie, The Carpenter House Hospice, Willis Knighton Bossier doctors and nurses, Dr. Paul C. Davis, Stonebridge Golf Course and Summer Grove Baptist Church for their concern and help during this difficult time.
