Karl was a man who found immense pride in his service, and his contributions to the Shreveport Police Department will never be forgotten. He was not only a captain but a cornerstone of the department—a steady, guiding hand who believed deeply in his mission to protect and serve. His love for the job went far beyond duty; it was woven into the very fabric of his character. For 28 years, he poured his heart and soul into his career with the Shreveport Police Department, rising through the ranks to retire as a Captain. His time on the force was marked by an unwavering commitment to justice and integrity. Whether working in patrol, motorcycle patrol, or special investigations, Karl took every duty to heart, always striving to make his city a safer place.
A man of many talents, Karl had a passion for restoring classic cars, often spending hours in his garage alongside his sons and friends. As a husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he was a steadfast pillar of support, deeply loved and respected by those who knew him.
