Services for June Willis Culpepper Bain will be held Monday December 14, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Rd., Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Bro. Bill Crosby. Graveside Services will be held for immediate family only.
June was born June 14, 1926 in Shreveport, LA and was a life long resident. She passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the Carpenter House. She was 94 years old.
She was a member of Kingston Road Baptist Church formerly Morningside Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School to First graders for 35 years. She worked 41 years in the Stock Brokerage Industry, starting with Francis I Dupont in 1961 through 1974 moving from Dupont Walston in 1974 to E.F. Hutton Co. where she was one of the first clerical employees to be named Asso. Vice President. She retired from Shearson Lehman Bros. in 1990 and was a permanent employee for the next 12 years, retiring again in 2002 from Smith Barney.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Fred Willis and Bessie Upchurch Willis; her husband of 54 years Jack H. Culpepper Sr.; brother, James M. Willis, Ltjg. Donald Willis, Sr.; granddaughter, Tara Lesley Dunham Brown Tate; great grandson, Brandon Paul Brown; son-in-law, Stephen Russell Keasler M.D.; and second husband, Rex Bain.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Carol Ann Culpepper Keasler and Jack H. Culpepper Jr. with wife Sharon; grandchildren, Patrick Brant Dunham and wife Marcy, Trevor J. Culpepper and wife Sarah, Jason Strickland, Grant Rourke and husband Shawn, and Ashley Tara Keasler; great grandchildren, Charles Sutton Strickland, Olivia Marie Strickland, Miller Loy Glenn, Kiley Jacklynn Rourke, Jackson A. Dunham, Eva Elizabeth Dunham, and Audrey Ann Dunham; and great great-grandson, Carson Boyer Massey.
