John Edward Mahan Sr., age 95, of Bossier City, Louisiana passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022. John was born May 3, 1927 in Bagwell, Texas to Paul and Lucille Mahan.

John served his country during World War II in the Merchant Marines.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Paula Garrett (Richard), Priscilla Rawls (Stephen); son John E. Mahan, Jr. (Susan); grandsons Christopher Rawls, J. P. Patterson (Megan), Darin Patterson (April), Scott Garrett; granddaughter Sarah Garrett Heinzen and great granddaughter Kylee Rawls..

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Shelton Mahan; parents Paul and Lucille Williams Mahan and grandson Casey Rawls.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service for John will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA 71108.

John will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, LA 71108.
