Jennifer Alise Mullins Waxham, 46, passed away suddenly, but peacefully, December 4, 2016. She was born to Ken Mullins and Sherry Sanders October 25, 1970 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Jennifer finished her high school career at CE Byrd and was a proud lifelong Yellow Jacket. She lived life to the fullest and pursued her interests with a passion that inspired others. She was an avid sports fan, who faithfully followed the Jackets and Saints, and could easily catch her beloved husband, Wayland, up on anything he may have missed. Jennifer’s heart was big, and she loved her friends and family dearly. She also had an immense love for animals, especially man’s best friend, and was greatly involved in making a difference for dogs. Gardening was a relatively new pursuit for Jennifer, and she could be found on most any spring or summer day tending one of her gardens filled with tomatoes and peppers or fragrant, vibrant flowers.
Jennifer is survived by her husband Wayland Waxham, stepdaughter Ashleigh Von Einem with husband Eric, grandmother Ruby Lee Campbell, mother Sherry Sanders, stepfather Sonny Sanders, stepsisters Sonia Sanders and Sunny Dawn Sanders, stepbrother Taylor Sanders with wife Melissa, father Ken Mullins, stepmother Sally Mullins and her six four legged babies.
The family will host a gathering in her honor on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 5 -7 p.m., at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home in Shreveport. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Robinson Rescue.
