SHREVEPORT, LA - Celebration of Life services for Mrs. Janice Curry Berry, 90, will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 10, 2011, in Centuries Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Eddie Dunn officiating. The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 12:00 PM until time of service Thursday, November 10, 2011, at Centuries.
Interment will immediately follow at Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport, Louisiana.
Mrs. Berry was born September 7, 1921, in Montgomery, Louisiana, to the late Randall DeWitt and Lena Beatrice Tyson Curry and was called to her Heavenly home November 8, 2011, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Mrs. Berry is preceded in death by her parents, Randall and Lena Curry; by her husband of 49 years, Richard James Berry and her special aunt, Jewel T. Long.
Left to cherish Mama/Mamaw’s memory and tell her stories will be her daughter; Jan Becken and husband Jim, two grandchildren – Adam Scheen and fiancée, Morgan; Ben Scheen, Jr. and Kristie, four great grandchildren – Caleb Scheen, Eli Scheen, Bailey Scheen, and Josh Scheen and many loving nieces, nephews and other precious friends whom she cherished.
Honoring Mrs. Berry as pallbearers will be grandsons – Adam Scheen and Ben Scheen; Lance Swan, Tommy Dufrene, Jimmy Lynn, and Jerry Webb.
The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to Life Path Hospice and Heritage Manor South for the love and care given to Mother, and more especially to Dee and Kathy, her beloved caretakers.
If God had given me the choice of choosing my own Mother, I would not have changed one thing.
Memorials may be made in honor of Mrs. Janice Berry to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or charity of donor’s choice.
