Mr. Morris attended Northwestern State University and later graduated from Southwestern State University and achieved a Bachelor Of Science Degree. He served in WWII in the US Army. He later worked for Sun Oil Company for 33 years. He also owned and operated Morris Peach Farm in Dunn, LA. After retiring He worked at Lex Nursery. He was a member of the Delhi Masonic Lodge #120 and was a longtime member of University Church of Christ.
Mr. Morris is preceded in death by his wife Margaret; parents; five brothers; and four sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Debra Morris; various nieces and nephews, and many friends.
A service celebrating the life of J. B. Morris will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2018, 2:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Minister Jerry Hodge. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12:30 until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be his nephews and Honorary Pallbearers are his longtime friends.

In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, Shreveport or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis.
