SHREVEPORT, LA – Services for Homer Leroy Frazier, 83, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Centuries Memorial Park Chapel, Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Bro. Ron Parker. Interment will immediately follow. Visitation will also be held at Centuries Memorial from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2016.
Homer Leroy was born May 17, 1932 in Belzoni, MS to W.C. and Edna Frazier, and passed away suddenly at his residence in Shreveport on January 27, 2016. He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years and was a veteran of the Korean War. Homer married his wife, Frances (Pat), in 1955. He started his career for the Shreveport Fire Department in 1957, where he served 29 years. He was a devoted husband, father & grandfather.
Homer is preceded in death by his parents, and was the last living sibling of 8 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Frances (Pat) Black Frazier; daughter, Donna Woodward and husband Shane; son, Kenneth Frazier and wife Karen; and one granddaughter, Lauren Woodward; along with many nieces, nephews and other beloved family members.
Pallbearers will be Truman Wimberly, Jerrel Neel, Brad Thompson, Rodney Greening, Joe Rice, John R. Fulco, and Mark Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be all active and retired members of the Shreveport Fire Department.
