Helen Scallion Weaver

Helen Scallion Weaver went home to be with Lord on Sunday, January 14, 2024 in Shreveport, Louisiana at the age of 84. She was born in Goldonna, Louisiana to the late Francis Rachal Scallion and Porter Clark Scallion.

Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a faithful member of Woodridge Baptist Church. She devoted her life to her family and God. She owned and operated Helen's Tone & Tan in the late eighties. Helen treasured her time with her family and loved being a homemaker. She will be deeply missed by those she loved.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Debbie Weaver Davis and husband, Sidney; son, Larry Weaver and wife, Colleen Fuller; grandchildren, Jeremy Bradford, Laurie Bradford Arnold and husband, Heath, Lindsey Davis Buford and husband, Ben, Chase Weaver and Carly Weaver Pickett and husband, Doss; and 13 great grandchildren, Haileigh, Gage, Hannah, Jaycee, Kenidee, Morgan, Jordan, Brodie, Kaedyn, Addisyn, Kynlee, Charlie and Mary Elizabeth.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Marvin Weaver; parents; her sister, Lois Coleman.

A visitation for Helen will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home & Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108, followed by a celebration of life at 10:00 AM. She will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park, next to her beloved husband. Officiating the service will be Mike Perser. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Jeremy Bradford, Chase Weaver, Heath Arnold, Ben Buford, Spencer Teekell and Doss Pickett.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Willis-Knighton Hospice of Louisiana, the nurses and staff at The Health Center at Live Oak, North Pavilion and her numerous home sitters for their tremendous care and compassion.
