Shreveport, LA – Harry B Loftin, 85, a native of Martin, LA and a resident of Shreveport, LA passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2013. A loving family man and devoted friend, Harry was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Brookwood Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer and die-hard LSU Tigers fan. After years of service as a salesman, Harry finished his career at Centuries Funeral Home as a greeter.
Harry is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruth Nunley Loftin; daughter Nelwyn Brantley and husband Allen and son Mike Loftin; grandchildren: Ronnie Brantley and wife Erin, and Ben Brantley and wife Angela; great grandchildren Bryce Brantley, Laura Leigh Brantley, Grant Brantley and Brayden Brantley; brother Luther Wayne Loftin and wife Amelia; brothers-in-law Chesley Nunley and wife Pilar, and Don Nunley and wife JoAnn; sisters-in-law Nedra Nunley and Estelle Nunley; nephew Jeff Loftin and family; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Harry is preceded in death by his parents Luther and Ola Loftin; daughter-in-law Kim Loftin; and nephew Steven Loftin.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 5pm until 7pm at Centuries Funeral Home. A Life Celebration will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 11am. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Services will be conducted by Rev. John Harp.
