Gracie Ann Fountain Anderson was born on October 1, 1944 to Fred Harvey Fountain and Lucile Joanna Swinnen Fountain in Pineville, Louisiana and passed away on August 28, 2017 in Shreveport, Louisiana at the age of 72 after a long battle with cancer.
Gracie was a devoted member of the Kings Temple United Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed reading and gardening but her passion in life was teaching at Kingston Christian Academy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held at Kings Temple United Pentecostal Church Life Center on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 beginning at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A service celebrating the life of Ms. Gracie will be held at Kings Temple United Pentecostal Church Life Center on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Pastor Damon Magee, Rev. Tommy Scott and Craig T. Martin will be officiating the services.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 42 years Odell Anderson; sons, David Scott and wife Charity, Fred Scott and wife Charla, Mark Anderson and Jo, and Tommy Scott and wife Annette; daughter, Beth Scott; granddaughters, Jennifer Fox and husband Shon, Amanda Emery and husband Bill, Tara Scott, Krystal Scott, Adyson Scott, Katie Scott; grandsons, John Scott, Andy Scott, and Christopher Barnes; great-grandchildren, Ryan Scott, Tyler Fox, Hunter Scott, Coraline Emery; brother, Harvey Fountain and Johnny Fountain; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jimmy Fountain; and sister, Betty Belgard.
The family would like to give special thanks to Schumpert Cancer Treatment Center, Highland CCU nurses and staff, Life Care of Linwood, Dr. Chintapalli, Dr. Desai, Dr. Chan and his staff.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made in Gracie’s name to Kingston Christian Academy.
