Friends are invited to join the family for graveside services 10 AM, Wednesday, September 5, 2018, for Gary Wayne Cox at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery. Officiating will be Bro. Don Wilson and Bro. Will Simmons. Gary was born to Jim and Leona Cox on July 8, 1955 and entered suddenly into the arms of his savior, Jesus Christ on August 26, 2018. Gary had struggles during his life, but he found peace when he found Jesus. His faith was strong and he shared with anyone who would listen that Jesus is the answer.
In his younger days Gary enjoyed fishing, hunting, swimming and riding horses. He won several trophies competing. Then life got in the way and he wasn't able to continue with his passion. He served in the Navy on the USS Ranger. Gary loved his mother, Leona. He phoned her several times a week and always looked forward to seeing her. Although circumstances kept him from being able to see to his son Wesley regularly, he spoke of him often and had so much love for him.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Jim Cox and brother, Guy Cox. Left to cherish his memory are his son Wesley Jones, mother Leona Cox, grandchildren Dylan, Owen, and Cindy, brother Pat Cox, and nephew Erin.
