Gary Leroy Chappell, 63, passed away on January 31, 2018. His son, Alexander “Alex” Chappell, saw to it that his father was honored for serving the country he loved.
Gary had been a dedicated service member of the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy. His accomplishments were many and his service included deployments to the Persian Gulf, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. He was the recipient of many awards and medals which included but were not limited to Southwest Asia Service Mdl, Kuwait Liberation Mdl, and Operation Noble Eagle/Enduring Freedom.
Gary enjoyed and had a passion for hunting and fishing. He was a loving father and grandfather who will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his son, Alexander Starr Chappell; three grandchildren, Alexis, Hannah, and Alex, Jr.; brother, Gene Jones; sister, Linda Bernard; and his step-father, Ray Greenwood.
