Fernando Cruz Sanchez

A mass of christian burial for Fernando will be held Monday, May 15, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Christ the King Church, 425 McCormick St., Bossier City, LA 71111. Following the mass, a graveside at 1:30 PM at Centuries Memorial Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. Rev. Fidel Mondragón will officiate the services. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Omar Saloma , Juan Carlos Cruz, Ricardo Cruz, Oscar Cruz, Martin Torres, Sr. , Ivan Torres , Martin Torres, Jr. and Andy Chavez.

Fernando Cruz Sanchez was born in Mexico City, Mexico to Bernabé Cruz Trejo and Angela Cruz Sanchez. He went to be with Lord on Friday, May 12, 2023 surrounded by his family in Shreveport, Louisiana. He treated everyone like they were family. Fernando was a very loving husband, father, brother, and friend to all. He was always helping others. He will be deeply missed by all those who loved him and was able to call him a friend or family.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Maria Cruz; his son-in-law and daughter, Omar and Elizabeth Saloma; and his son Alejandro Cruz; grandchildren Maite, Sebastian, Matias and Camila Saloma; brothers, Enrique Verdugo and Juan Carlos Cruz; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ricardo and Rosa Elia Cruz, and Oscar and Olga Cruz; brothers-in-law and sisters, Miguel and Lourdes Fuentes, David and Maria Del Socorro Cantu, Miguel and Flora Isabel Fierro, and Martin and Victoria Torres; along with 59 nieces and nephews.

Fernando was preceded in death by his mother, Angela Cruz; father, Bernabé Cruz Trejo; and sister, Ana Bertha Cruz Sanchez.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Willis-Knighton Bossier and Willis-Knighton North for the care shown to Fernando.
