Evelyn Lowery

A Life Celebration service for Evelyn Smith Lowery will be held on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 10 A.M. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home with interment following in Centuries Memorial Park. Officiating will be Pastors Jimmy Masters and Ken Rhoads. The Family will receive visitors from 9 A.M. to 10 A.M. the day of the service.

Evelyn Smith Lowery, 88, passed away on August 24, 2016 at her home in Keithville, LA. Evelyn was a Shreveport native all of her life before moving to Keithville 10 years ago. Her joy for life, the Lord and her family was infectious. She loved gardening, dancing and traveling. The butterfly was her signature.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, numerous siblings and her husband of 48 years, Arthur J. Smith. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Otis Lowery, her daughter Joanne Smith Lowery (Ben), her son William J. Smith (Aileen), seven grandchildren, three children by marriage Rodney, Danny and Tricia and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
