Emma Jean Ferrier

Emma Jean Ferrier was born August 10, 1943 in Elizabeth, LA, her parents were Katie and Jerry Maricle. She went to be with her Lord April 9, 2017 in Shreveport. She was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church and was involved with the St. Jude’s Dream Home. Mrs. Ferrier was a strong happy mother and grandmother who loved her family and church.

Mrs. Ferrier is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J. W. Ferrier; sisters, Beluah Russell, Agnes Thompson, and Helen Thompson; and a brother, Cully Maricle. She is survived by her son, Craig Ferrier and wife Kayla; daughter, Candice Thomson and husband, Brad; four grandchildren, David, Katie, Madelyn, and Kaden; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Bobbie Peters and husband Steve and Virginia Hamilton; a brother, Jerry Maricle, Jr.; other relatives and many friends.

A service celebrating the life of Emma Jean Ferrier will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2017, 11:00 AM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. John Harp. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, April 11 from 5 until 7 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are David Toothman, Alstin Ward, Taylor Ward, Troy Shockley, Kenneth Meshell, Kip Hamilton and Jerome Maricle. Honorary Pallbearer is Mike Bachman.
