Delores Jo Burge Quigley, 70, of Shreveport, LA joined her heavenly Father and family Wednesday, March 30, 2011 after a long, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Delores, was born on January 10, 1941 in Princeton, LA. She married Bernard J. Quigley in 1966, and they enjoyed a long wonderful marriage together. She proudly spent her years as a homemaker and spending time with her family. Her hobbies were ceramics and gardening.
Delores joined in heaven,; her husband, Bernard Joseph Quigley who preceded her in death in 1997; her parents, Glennie and Dewey B. Burge; brothers Sonny Burge and Leonard Burge, and sisters Dorothy Parker and Elizabeth Larson; and children Louis Quigley and Gail Quigley. She enjoyed her last memories visiting and spending time with family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are two loving daughters, Renee Liesmann, and husband Warde Liesmann, and Amy Quigley; ten beautiful grandchildren, Valerie Fletcher and fiancé Gary Shovan, Regan Osbon and husband Kyle Osbon, Whitney Liesmann and boyfriend Shawn Rinaudo, Ryan Liesmann and wife Kay Liesmann, Taylor Liesmann, Dylan Darden, Seth Quigley, Kassidi Liesmann, Glenn Quigley, and Brandon Wilson; six amazing great-grandchildren, Kayla Fletcher, Kyleigh Fletcher, Sierra Osbon, Alaina Osbon, Audrey Liesmann, and Roland Liesmann; five caring siblings, Earlene Clark, Hallie Williams, Billie Burge, Sandra Kay Buck, and Dennis Burge; and partner Rick Brock.
Please join the family for visitation at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, March 31, 2011, between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2011, also at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Grace Home , in honor of Delores Quigley.
Pallbearers are Ryan Liesmann, Taylor Liesmann, Dylan Darden, Kyle Osbon, Gary Shovan, and Wayne Anderson. Honorary pallbearers are Seth Quigley, Shaun Rinaudo, and Rick Brock.
The family would like to give special thanks to Grace Home and staff, her very special hospice nurse, Ellen Bartel, and Dr. Massingil and staff.
