Shreveport, LA – Graveside services honoring the life of David T. Logan, 83, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at Centuries Memorial Park officiated by Chaplain Alan Prater. Visitation will be held on Monday evening between the hours of 5-7 p.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.
David was born October 25, 1928, in Dierks, AR to parents, Booker T. and Tina (Sanders) Logan and passed away at Grace Home early Sunday morning, October 14, 2012, surrounded by his family.
David was proud of the time he spent serving his country in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. At the end of the Korean Conflict, David served on the U.S. Naval Honor Guard. He was a true “man’s man” who always stepped up to any given situation. David was also a pipe fitter, air condition mechanic and 50 year member of the Local 141. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and listening to blue grass music.
David was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Shirley Logan; daughter, Cindy Hinson; brothers, Hunter, J.B., and Jimmy Logan; sister, Allen Wesley Eifford; and step-son, Stacey Johnson. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 24 years, Carol (Crowder) Logan; sons, Stephen Logan and wife, Lucy, and Ronnie Logan and Pam; step-daughters, Shelia Applebee, Shannon Cole, and Sherry Morgan; sister, Mae Evelyn Gibson; grandchildren, Ron Logan, Stephanie Cox, Leslie Hinson-Wofford, and Renee’ Hinson; four great-grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren.
