Connie Fay Myers, age 77, of Thornton, Colorado passed away on Thursday December 26, 2019. Connie was born October 16, 1942 in Picher, Oklahoma to Thomas Raymond Ballenger and Ethyl Rae Moore Ballenger.
Connie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who had an amazing gift of helping those she loved. Throughout her life, she always kept a positive humorous attitude and personality. Connie was a companion of Jimmy Henry until his death in 2013 and they enjoyed traveling, pitching horseshoes and spending time in Crystal Beach, Texas, where they loved going crabbing and communing with the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Pamela Fay Conley-Smith; Son, Jeff Myers; sister, Gail Cascio; sister-in-law, Sherrie Ballenger; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ethyl Ballenger; husband, Larry William Myers; brothers, Delbert Vernon Ballenger and Lawrence Ballenger; sisters, Alice Florence Ballenger Sims, Wilma Jeanene Ballenger, Margaret Maxine Ballenger Lipscomb; and her twin brother, Tommie Ray Ballenger.
A visitation for Connie will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a graveside service to follow at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Rd, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. Serving, as pallbearers are John Jernigan , Richard Skyles, Mike Ricardo, Roy Stump, James Breedlove and Doug Garsee.
In lieu of flowers the family ask donations be made in Connie’s name to Parkinson’s Disease Association and/or the American Cancer Society.
The family would like to express their thanks to Sun Tree Hospice in Aurora, Colorado for their compassionate care during Connie’s final weeks and days.
