Betty went to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday, June 6, 2016. She was born in Crossett, AR on October 24, 1944 to James Calvin Grayson and Loraine Cone. For those that knew her, the tales of her shenanigans are prolific. Whether it is chasing snakes in the yard or demolishing the kitchen on a whim, there is a Betty story for everything.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband, Jesse Sherman; sons, John Petty Jr. and wife, Jennifer of Sibley, Terry Sherman and wife, Belinda, of Ringgold, Brian Sherman of Shreveport; stepdaughter, Chrissy Wise of Bossier City; and sister, Sheryl Grayson Murphy of Haughton. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Nicolas, Adam, and Grayson; and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family extends their utmost gratitude to the caregivers at Regional Hospice. To Betty’s close friends and Home Depot family, many thanks for your uplifting visits. To her partner in crime, Renee Cox, so much to be said.
