Betty Love Johnson was born January 31, 1930 in Dallas, Texas to Annie Ellison Links and Simon Links. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed being outdoors whether she was feeding the birds, gardening, doing yard work and keeping the hummingbird feeders full. Betty and her husband Pete loved to travel. Most of all she was most proud of her family. Betty went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Nanette Johnson Jones and her husband, Bruce P. Jones of Kingwood, Texas; granddaughter, Kelsey J. Sepulveda and her husband, Lucas L. Sepulveda; grandson, Trenton B. Jones; and great grandson, Leo J. Sepulveda.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years Edgar E. "Pete" Johnson Jr.; her daughter Mary Love Johnson; and her parents.
A visitation for Betty will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home & Park, 8801 Mansfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in Centuries Memorial Park. Rev. Dr. Theresa McConnell will officiate. Honoring her as pallbearers are Bruce P. Jones, Trenton B. Jones, Lucas L. Sepulveda, Ronald E. Rice, Charles Johnson, Jr. and Franz Penner.
