was born in Bryceland, Louisiana to Allen and Gertrude Caskey on March 31, 1935. She went to
be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 26, 2023, encircled by her daughters and
granddaughter, Aimee.
Pat loved the Lord, spending time with her family and many friends. Her laughter was
contagious and her beautiful smile was heartwarming. She loved music, dancing, playing the piano
and singing when she was younger, playing cards, Sudoku, Yahtzee, and dominoes. She enjoyed
fellowship with her Sunday School class and was a member of Bellaire Baptist Church. She loved
going out to eat catfish, working in her flower beds when she was able, and bird-watching especially
hummingbirds. When she was still driving, she loved visiting with friends and family who were
homebound, sick, or in the hospital. She would bring their favorite foods or drinks when she would
visit. An avid dog lover, she cared for her pets as part of her family.
Pat was a devoted military wife traveling with her family stateside and abroad for 20 years.
While stationed in Kansas, she worked in a candy factory and brought many sweets home to her
children. She worked as a switchboard operator at Fairfield Hospital and retired from Willis-
Knighton Health System where she worked as an admissions administrator.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law, Mary G. Sandifer, sister, Faye
Smith, brother, Melvin Caskey, twin brother, Billy Ray Caskey, daughter, Sharon Cloud, nephews,
Ken Smith, Michael Caskey, Johnny Caskey, and niece, Paula Hurt. Waiting for Pat at the Rainbow
Bridge were her beloved fur babies, Frisky, Pooh, Princess, Foxie, Snoopy, Sheba, Koko, and
Buster.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Glynn L. Sandifer, daughters and son-in-law,
