Anna May Franklin

Anna went to be with the Lord while living in Dawsonville, GA in the care of her son Bobby and his wife, Suzanne. Anna was born on December 20, 1926 in Osage County, OK. She lived most of her life in Keithville and 30 years on Toledo Bend near the town of Logansport with the love of her life, Corrie, until he also went to be with the Lord. She and Daddy loved living on the lake, which was one of two homes they built brick by brick themselves. They also loved their church family at Logansport Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star for 60 plus years and was Worthy Matron several times. She was a homemaker for many years but also served as a Nurse’s Assistant at Schumpert Hospital and enjoyed that time caring for others. She also enjoyed children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Anna May was preceded in death by her parents, Lillie May Rush and Raymond Rush; her husband of 65 years, Corrie Franklin; and grandson, John Franklin. Survivors are daughters, Barbara Seethoff and husband Jim of Salem, OR, and Beth Preedom and husband Steve of Teneha, TX; sons, Bobby Franklin and wife Suzanne of Dawsonville, GA, and Bill Franklin and wife Pam of Shreveport, LA; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 1PM followed by a graveside service at 2PM both at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home in Shreveport, LA.
