Alma Louise Creech

Alma Louise Ledford Creech, 95, died on the 20th of July while in long term care at the Southern Hills Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. Alma was longtime resident of Shreveport. She was born on the 29th of August 1925 to Alfred Charles Ledford and Georgia Milliner King of Clay, Louisiana in Jackson Parish.

Alma married Clifton Willmar Creech (deceased) on the 5th of April 1944 in Benton Louisiana and they had two children. Barry Wayne Creech, born January 28th, 1955 (deceased) and Clarence W. Creech born on December 31st, 1946 who resides in Maryland with his wife Michele Creech and two grand children Nicole Creech in San Antonio, Texas and Christian Creech in Washington, D.C.

Alma was a strong and stalwart person, brutally honest, firm but fair and a strong supporter of her local church. She loved the choir and legend has it that she was blessed with an exceptional Alto voice.

From those that cared for her while at the long-term care facilities, friends, family, neighbors and members of her church, sadness surely abounds. I will recall fondly the time of Christmas when we would fly Alma up for a December visits. Mom, I will miss those morning biscuits.
