Funeral Mass is under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Shiner, Texas and will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Shiner, Texas with Father Anthony Pesek officiating. Interment will follow at Shiner City Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 12:30 on Thursday at the church. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Buffington Funeral Home.
Mary Ann was born February 7, 1926, in Moulton, Texas. She was the daughter of Frank and Mary (Walshak) Nagelmueller. She grew up and attended school in Oak Grove. She married Roy C. Wendt on May 30, 1950. She was an avid gardener and antique collector. She volunteered at the Shiner Nursing Home and was a quilter at St. Cyril and Methodius Church where she was also a member.
Mary Ann is survived by two daughters; Phyllis L. Juranek and her husband, Ronnie of Kingsville, Texas, Karen G. Sieczkowski and her husband, Dan of Austin, Texas, one grandson; Allan Juranek of Houston, Texas, two granddaughters; Julie Juranek of Houston, Texas, Christine Sieczkowski Griffin and her husband, Adam of Brenham, Texas, and one great granddaughter; Hazel Skye Griffin. She was preceded in death by her parents; Frank and Mary Nagelmueller, her husband; Roy Charles Wendt; two brothers, William Nagelmueller and Louis Nagelmueller.
Also special thanks to Corpus Christi Hospice for their comforting service and to family and friends for their continued support.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Wendt will be; Dan Sieczkowski, Adam Griffin, Ronnie Juranek, Julie Juranek, Allan Juranek, and Roel Garcia.
