Cynthia Torres Gomez

Cynthia Gomez was born on December 1, 1956 in Gonzales, TX to the late Mr. Miguel Torres Sr. and Guadalupe Cortez-Torres of Gonzales, TX. Cynthia passed away early Tuesday morning December 20, 2011 in her home in Gonzales, TX. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister whom was greatly loved and will be missed by all. Everyone knew Cynthia was a die hard Cowboys fan. You could find her on Sundays with her husband and family getting the B-B-Q ready for the game. She was a friendly, warm, inviting person who enjoyed spending time with her cat Harley, and listening to her favorite tejano band Mazz. She was always their for her grandchildren and family no matter what. Cynthia will be missed greatly by all that knew her. She is preceded in death by her father, one brother Alvin Torres Sr., and one nephew Joe Angel Torres. Cynthia is survived by her one son Juan Mario Garcia and wife Stacey, three daughters:Amanda Lee Sepulveda and husband Ino, Alisha Renee Garcia and husband Michael, Miranda Rose Riojas, three brothers: Michael Torres Jr. and wife Gloria, Jesse Torres, Carlos Torres and wife Sonya and sister in law Natalie Torres. Cynthia also leaves her fifteen grandchildren and nineteen nieces and nephews to cherish her memory. Visitation held for her family and friends is Thursday, December 22, 2011 from 1:00 pm till 9:00 pm with Rosary followed at 7:00pm at the Buffington Funeral Home Chapel. Church Services for Cynthia are held for 10:00 am Friday, December 23, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gonzales, TX. With Father Paul Raaz Officating. Arrangements are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home, Gonzales, TX.
