Charlie Kurtz Jr., 91, of Shiner passed away in Moulton on July 16, 2011. Mr. Kurtz was born on August 1, 1919 to Charlie Kurtz, Sr. and Beatrice Darilek-Kurtz in Shiner, TX.

Mr. Kurtz was a spot welder for Kasper Wire Works for over 60 years. He married Bessie Krametbauer at St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church on September 24, 1940 in Shiner, TX where they resided.

Charlie Kurtz Jr., is survived by his son Gregory Kurtz of Victoria, TX; daughter Bernice and husband Bruno Kohl, two grandchildren: Blaine M. Kohl and Brad Booth, Belinda Kohl Thomas and husband J. Scott Thomas, three great-grandchildren: Harrison, Grant and Blake Thomas.

Visitation will be 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm Monday, July 18, 2011 held at Buffington Funeral Home in Shiner with Rosary at 7 pm. Services will be Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 10:30 am at St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Shiner Catholic Cemetery.
