Mark Vollbrecht

Mark was born April 17, 1953 in Sheboygan to Edgar “Slim” and Margaret (Helgeson) Vollbrecht. He attended Cooper Elementary School, Urban Junior High School, and Sheboygan North High School.

For the last 16 years Mark was employed at Bronze Stone Group in maintenance and groundskeeping at Sunrise Memorial Gardens and currently at Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery in Fond du Lac.

On April 20, 1998 Mark and Linda Owens were married in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mark was a hard worker who enjoyed the Green Bay Packers, NASCAR and the Plymouth stock car races, but, most importantly, he loved spending great times with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by two step-children, Gary (Latoria) Anderson and Tammy Anderson; his two grandchildren, Shyann and Jeramiah all of Sheboygan; three sisters, Marcia (Richard) Budinger of Parker, CO; Kathy (David) Dana, and Barbara Leo all of Sheboygan; his father-in-law, Gerald (Elise) Owens of Jackson, TN; his aunt, Marion Vollbrecht of Sheboygan; his brother-in-law, Ronald (Yoko) Owens of Silverdale, WA; his sister-in-law, Tammy (Glen) Cox of Bremerton, WA; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Vollbrecht, his step-mother, Opal Vollbrecht, his mother-in-law, Patricia Owens, his uncle, Robert Vollbrecht; and his aunt, Vivian VanderWeele.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Chapel. Rev. Diane Loberger, Pastor of St. Peter Lutheran Church, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.

A memorial fund has been established in his name.

Ballhorn Chapels is assisting the family.

Mark was a very remarkable, loving, caring, shy kind of guy.

Once you took a look at his face, you could never stay mad at him.
