She was born on June 16, 1927 to Henry and Alma (Gurney) Weishaar in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. She attended Northwestern College, Dr. Martin Luther College, and took extended studies at the University of Wisconsin and the University of Michigan.
On October 17, 1948 she was married to Albert V. Miesner. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1974.
Helen was a devoted member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and dedicated her time to many church organizations. She also enjoyed spending time playing the organ and piano.
She is survived by eight children, Thomas Miesner, Rachel (Mark) Dotz, Timothy (Sue) Miesner, Jennifer Tauscheck, William Miesner, Mary Miesner, Karen Boll and Kathryn (James) Brom. She is further survived by her sister, Mary Ann Schmal of Fond du Lac, WI. She was also blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Albert, she was preceded in death by her son, Samuel Miesner, her daughter, Christine Tauscheck, and her brother-in-law, Edward Schmal.
A memorial service in celebration of Helen’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Rev. Adam Scheblein, Pastor, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
A special thank you to Golden Living for their kindness and support, which will always be remembered. Also thanks to the doctors and nurses in Sheboygan and Milwaukee.
Helen was a woman with a huge heart and never ending love.
She will truly be missed by her family and friends.
