Virginia Mae Hopkins

Virginia completed High School in Bethel Acres. She retired as a shipping and receiving manager at TDK. In Virginia’s free time, she loved Bowling, watching OU Women’s Basketball and Softball, helping others, travelling, and gardening. In 2000, Virginia was one of the Oklahoma State WBA Championship winners.

On May 28, 1949, Virginia married the love of her life, Odis Jefferson Hopkins. They went on to have their loving son Greg Hopkins.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Odis Jefferson Hopkins; parents Sherman and Goldie (Lawson) Bryce; brothers Othel Bryce, Rudell Bryce, Dorcie Bryce, Lyndell Bryce, Oid Bryce, Aubrey Bryce, Albert Lee Bryce, Alfred Bryce, and Donald Gene Bryce; and sister Velma Barrett.

Those left to cherish Virginia’s memory are her son Greg Hopkins; sister Zelma Cox; brother Bobby Joe Bryce; grandson Garrett Michael Hopkins; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A visitation for Virginia will be held Friday, February 3, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, 44909 Highway 3, Shawnee, OK 74801. A funeral service will occur Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Liberty Baptist, 711 E Federal St., Shawnee, OK 74804.
