In High School, Mary played Basketball all four years and won a sportsmanship trophy. She was also President of the FHA. After graduating from Prairie Valley School in 1954 as Valedictorian, Mary went on to become a Public Accountant and a Mary Kay Consultant.
In Mary’s free time she loved to Bowl, go to her cabin at Lake Eufaula, and volunteer at the Salvation Army and Women’s Auxiliary. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church for over 50 years and was the Secretary for many of them.
Mary loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was always excited to attend the grandchildren’s sporting events and activities to cheer them on. Mary taught all of her kids and grandkids how to play cards and dominoes, though you were never expected to win against her.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Wayne Ware, and parents Ray and Anna Jarvis. Those left to cherish Mary’s memory are her children Debbie (Roger) Norton, David (Alison) Wallis, and Donnie (Karen) Wallis; brothers Everett (Myrna) Jarvis and Donald Jarvis; grandchildren Randy (Renee) Norton, Trenton (Shaunna) Norton, Natalie (John) Perona, Sydney Wallis, Andrew Wallis, Mary Terrell, and Thomas Wallis; and great grandchildren Connor, Alyssa, Kasidee, Kobe, Emma, and Jack.
