Marcene Sullivan, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, joined her husband, John O. Sullivan, in the Lord’s House on May 8, 2014. She was born to James Alfred Buckmaster and Nell Ann (Rutherford) Buckmaster on March 1, 1924. Marcene was living at the Summit Ridge Retirement Village in Harrah at the time of her passing. Here she was able to be close to her sister and made numerous friends. If you knew Marcene you were no stranger to her willingness to give and help others. She would place others before herself just to be sure they were taken care of and appreciated. No one could escape recognition from Marcene. She never forgot a birthday or holiday, in fact she would even give small thank-yous and recognition to those people that others may not notice in their daily routines. Marcene’s heart was as open as the ocean is wide, but not even that could compare to the love that she had for her family and the Lord. Marcene was a woman of many talents, she enjoyed painting ceramics, and putting together amazing puzzles. Marcene will be missed but never forgotten.
