Lillie Lorene Lorene Austin Ford

Lillie Lorene Ford passed away December 8, 2011 with her family by her side. She was born February 5, 1920 in Stratford, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Lillie May McConell and Charley Austin.

Lorene attended Stratford High School and East Central State College. She married Hollis Ford in Sulphur, Oklahoma on September 17, 1938.

She was a member of the St. Paul’s Methodist Church, 3F, AARP, the Rose Society and Pals. She retired from Tinker Air Force Base in 1985 as a production manager.

She was proceeded in death by her husband and parents.

Lorene was survived by two daughters and one son-in-law; Letha Cather of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Lila and Charles Acker of Ada, Oklahoma; One Granddaughter and her husband, Kim and Greg Hext of Dallas, Texas; Great-Grandson, Preston Hext of Dallas; One sister and brother-in-law, Charlene and Bob Dodd of Junction City, Kansas; Niece Keli Conley and her son Cameron.

Those who wish may make donations in lieu of flowers may make donations to the American Cancer Association or the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Visitation will be from Noon to 8:00 PM, with family receiving guests from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sunday at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 AM, Monday, December 12, 2011 at Resthaven Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
