John William Murphy

He was in the Air Force as an Aerospace Ground Equipment Technician. John then retired from the Air Force as a Tech Sargent in 1992.

He married Nancy Marshall on June 19, 1993 in Ogden, UT. Together they combined their families and had four boys; Michael, Dennis, Galen and Mike.

John’s proudest moments were the birth of his sons Michael and Dennis, and his marriage to Nancy.

He loved to spend time with Nancy and their two dogs. While in the military John enjoyed fishing, sailing, and scuba diving. He also enjoyed relaxing at his property and shooting guns.

He is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Thelma (Vice) Murphy; brothers Gary Murphy of Christopher, IL, and Larry Murphy of Norris City, IL; and sister Linda Okes of Boonville, IN.

He is survived by wife Nancy Murphy; sons Michael Murphy and wife Missy of Zeltingen-Rachtig, Germany, Dennis Murphy and wife Sarah of St. George, UT, Galen Dicus and wife Trina of Kaysville, U, and Mike Dicus and wife Briana of Spring Creek, NV; brother-in-law Jerry Okes of Boonville, IN; and sister Brenda Sawyer of Brighton, IL.
