Glenn graduated from Shawnee High School in 1962. During his senior year, he joined the United States Navy. After his second year in the Navy, he was an E5 Radioman, and was sent to Vietnam. Glenn was very proud of serving his country.
When he returned, Glenn married Carylon Sue Burchette on September 6, 1968 and they were blessed with four children.
Glenn worked at Xerox for over 8 years, and then ran into Elvin Charles Degraffenreid, a high school friend. He said, “Let’s build Sonic Drive-In’s”, and they did.
Glenn, Carylon, and their children moved to 20 acres in Meeker.
Glenn was diagnosed with cancer and the doctor’s gave him 3 – 6 months to live. It was a miracle that he lived, and went on to work at Eaton, retiring after 19 years. After retiring, he built a brand new home in town. Glenn spent his days hanging out at the Senior Citizen Center and loved to put puzzles together and hang out with his friends.
He was a proud member of Meeker Assembly of God for over 38 years. He loved his church family and enjoyed helping with his wife’s Sunday School Class.
