Gary was a great husband, adoring father and best Poppy. He enjoyed sailing, hunting, racing dirt bikes, and 4-wheeling in his Jeep. He was a lover of animals, including his 5 dogs, milk cow, pigeons, horses and mule. He continued to ride horses, motorcycles and went 4-wheeling on the river with his wife and kids until his passing. Gary had a great sense of humor and told jokes every conversation he had.
He began working for his dad at Neal Gray Garage when he was a little boy. He later bought a Texaco service station on Beard and Farrell where his five daughters helped pump gas and ate all his pop, peanuts and gum balls. He opened Gary Gray Automotive/Import Specialist in the 1980’s and in 1993 he owned and operated his wrecker service, Abby’s and Gray’s Towing.
Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 34 years, Linda (Belaski) Gray; mother, Winnifred Gray; sister, Linda Sue & Phil Combs; 5 daughters: Sherri Gray Ragsdale, Terri Gray & Maribel Flores, Shelli & Charlie Gray, Kelli Gray McCullar, and Suzanne Gray & Greg Pritchard; grandchildren: Blake Wiginton, Cody Pritchard, Amber Wood and her children, Mariah Whittet and her children, Elizabeth Tonubbee and her children, Missy Goodin and her children, Laurin Collier and her children, his great grandchildren: Rowdy and Roper Nadeau; and Blake Nadeau; and niece and nephews: Michelle, Philip and Christopher Combs.
He was preceded in death by his father, Neal Gray.
A Celebration of Life Dinner will be held at 12:30, Saturday, August 8, 2020 at the Shawnee Action Community Center, 804 S. Park Ave, Shawnee OK 74801.
