E.A. Storie, 75, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away at his residence on November 27, 2024. Born on February 22, 1949, E.A. was the son of Emmit Alexander Storie, Sr. and Verl Marcie Storie. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Verle Gibson and Karen Brown, and brother, Harvey Storie.
He is survived by his brother-in-law, Bob Gibson, and several nieces and nephews: Trent Gibson, Scott Gibson, Raelina Tucker, Kristi Wilkerson, Seth Wilkerson, and Casey Storie. He also is survived by his step-daughter, Kristi Dillinger, her husband Chris, and their three boys, Brandon, Nathan, and Ryan; and his step-son David Traynor, wife Becca, and children.
E.A.’s life of dedicated service began in 1967 when he was hired at Tinker Air Force Base as an Electrical Parts Repairer. In 1968, he joined the United States Naval Reserve, and by 1969, he commenced a 21-month tour of active duty with the U.S. Navy, spending 19 months aboard the USS Oklahoma, the 7th Fleet flagship, frequently stationed in Vietnamese waters.
In 1973, E.A. was part of a depot team that traveled throughout Southeast Asia—including Thailand, the Philippines, Korea, and Japan—modifying radar configurations on military aircraft. After his overseas service, E.A. underwent extensive training and returned to Tinker Air Force Base, where he eventually worked as an Equipment Specialist in the B-52 Technical Services Section. Throughout his 38 year career, his commitment to military support earned him numerous awards and commendations.
E.A. had a passion for all things electrical and a deep appreciation for classic films. In his younger years, he was the family’s go-to expert for solving computer issues, always eager to lend a helping hand. He was a wonderful, brother, uncle, and grandpa and was a great gift-giver.

E.A.’s legacy of service, loyalty, and love will be forever cherished by those who knew him. His unwavering dedication to his country and family leaves a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know him.
