Seminole resident, Darla Kay Robbins, 54, passed from this life to the next on Saturday, July 2, 2016 in Oklahoma City. Darla was born February 10, 1962 in Newhall, California to Bob and Cora Jean (Harjo) Alsip. She grew up in the Shawnee area and graduated from Maud High School. Darla had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor and a tremendous passion for her family, friends, and life in general. She was always ready with a kind word, or not so kind word, depending on the situation. Darla loved to travel and enjoyed making memories with her children. She was an inspiration to so many people and touched more lives than anyone knew. Her sense of humor, her smile, and her laughter will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Darla was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Cora Jean Alsip; husband, Ronnie Robbins; brother, Darryl Alsip; grandmother, Della Stewart; grandfather, Corbett Alsip; and her beloved dog, Gidget Magoo.
Those left to cherish their memories are her sons and daughter-in-law, Nicholas Merritt of OKC, and Shane and Kristen Spurlin of Earlsboro; grandchildren, Vice and Kaden Spurlin; fiancé, David Robbins of Seminole; siblings, Sharon Alsip of Shawnee, Lynn Cuellar of OKC, and Marlene and Steve Haynes of Ada; her dogs, Gizmo, Marlie, Misha, and Coco; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Services will be 2pm Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Resthaven Funeral Home with interment to follow at Romulus Cemetery.
