Danna Elaine Irish

Danna Elaine (Hunt) Irish was born August 9, 1965 to Jack and Audrey (Scroggins) Hunt in Amarillo, Texas. She passed from this life, at the age of 59, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with her loving family by her side.

After high school, Danna married the love of her life, Charles Irish. They were married on May 5th, 1984 at Northwest Missionary Baptist Church in Shawnee. Danna was a veteran of the United States Navy. She received several accommodations, including the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2), Navy Good Conduct Medal (2), National Defense Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist.

She was a funny, passionate woman who had a fierce love of family and her country. She dedicated 10 years of her life to serving our nation. She also was dedicated to bettering herself through continuous education. With this drive, she graduated from OBU in Shawnee in 2019, with a Bachelor’s of History. She loved musicals, her yorkies, Kathy Bates, and her church family. Her sense of humor was only matched by the unconditional love she gave her family and friends.

Although our hearts are broken that she is gone from our day to day lives, we know we will feel her love every single day until we see her again.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Hunt and Audrey Belcher, and her brother, Terry Demoss.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Charles Irish; daughter, Mary Irish Kinnamon and husband, Chance Kinnamon, their daughters, Hadley and Molly Kinnamon; daughter, Meghan Irish; brother, Tracy Demoss; sister, Debbie Dingman; sister, Marlena Foraker, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Danna will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:45 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, 44909 Highway 3, Shawnee, OK 74801, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
