Carrie Jo Hancock

Carrie and her family moved to Oklahoma in 1980 where she attended Shawnee Public Schools. In 1992 she had her first son, Christian, then later came David in 2003. They were the joys of her life. She loved spending time with them, and spoiling them of course!

Carrie had many jobs throughout her life. She enjoyed working for the Grand Casino in Shawnee and later at Central Plastics, in Shawnee as well. One of her favorite pastimes was spent drawing. She had many pieces that she was proud of.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Hancock as well as her grandparents, Harry and Ruth Turney.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Christian Hancock and David Chase Brooks; mother, Beverly Alexander; sister, Ann Marie Hancock; sister, Rebecca and husband Jonathon Burdette, nieces and nephews: Jimmy Brooks, Charlie Brooks, Joanna Brooks, Jacob Belvin and Tanner Pellam; she also had a special friend, Richard Wayne Brooks.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Resthaven Funeral Home. A funeral service for Carrie will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Resthaven Funeral Home, 44909 Highway 3, Shawnee, OK 74801. Following the funeral service will be a committal service at 11:00 AM at Resthaven Memorial Park, 16006 S Rock Creek Rd, Shawnee, OK 74801.
