Longtime Shawnee resident Carol Sue Ferguson passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2010 in a local hospital at the age of 61.
She is best remembered as a loving person who enjoyed spending time visiting with friends and selling AVON. Carol was an animal lover and could not turn away a hungry cat. For many years, Carol babysat numerous children and treated them as her own. She was a devout Christian, very seldom missing Sunday Services as a member of Cross Town Church. Her perseverance enabled her to pass the G.E.D. and this was an accomplishment she was very proud of. Carol had a heart of gold and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother.
She is survived by her husband Charles, two brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 17, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Services will be held 2 p.m.Friday, June 18, 2010 at Resthaven Chapel. Burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Donations can be made to Cross Town Church.
